Final Product
My ObservationsMy medium of choice has nothing to do with pen and paper, i prefer Digital Art and editing. So picking up painting was really interesting to say the least. The materials I used were really watered down acrylic paint (to the consistency of watercolor), watercolor paint, and ball point pen. I only used ball point pen to exaggerate the needed definition of the eyes, nose, and cheekbones, like my inspiration Hirohiko Araki does. I would change the detailing of the flower if I could. I never have been good at drawing flowers or giving much detail, so I will expand my abilities on that soon. From the original photo, as you can tell it is in black n white. Making the tone and the overall view of the painting change. Araki uses more vibrant and bright colors, while majority of George Hurrell's photos (My inspiration for the photo) is in black n white.

ACT Questions
1: I had a lot of trouble working on this painting project. Painting is not my choice of medium when it comes to artwork. I did not have any trouble finding an inspiration. Araki is one of my favorite manga artists so i was able to finally introduce his inspiration into my work.
2: Most of my research came from outside sources. There is no direct website talking about Araki directly. Although most of the facts i have written about are backed up by things he have said in interviews.
3: The central theme around m y research was to find someone who is influential enough to actually make me get up and do this project. Araki's Manga was adapted into a show, which i enjoy very much. So i took the time to use his inspiration to work on my project.
4: The conclusion i came to with this project is how one can inspire/get inspired by other artists. How I am able to adapt other artist's style and way of art to be able to create my onw personal work.
